At the World Expo, FLYCOOL fiber integrated into T-shirt fabric, which maintains an average cooling effect of 1 to 2 degrees Celsius, has become a classic masterpiece in the spinning and weaving industry. According to Hu Yongqin, manager of the company, this product is set to lead the market in the next 3 to 5 years, and the market is currently heating up rapidly. He shared that this is the second time the company has participated in the Fibers Industrial Fair, and compared to the last exhibition where they were among the last to leave, they received significant customer feedback this time. Especially after the release of the FLYCOOL & SORONA (eco-friendly and energy-saving) project at the previous event, numerous brand-name companies showed interest in collaboration.
Moreover, the adoption of FLYCOOL fabric by the Expo for volunteers’ uniforms represents a major business opportunity. However, it's worth noting that both Gage and the company are licensed exhibitors at the World Expo. As the representative from Taiwan, Hu Yongqin mentioned that during the event, the company will announce its spinning and weaving cooperation with the finished products of the World Expo, offering solutions for energy-saving and eco-friendly garments over the next few years. This joint exhibition will showcase FLYCOOL NITI (product promotion program) and the FLYCOOL & SORONA combined project, emphasizing energy efficiency and environmental protection, while integrating self-decomposition functions to fully meet the requirements of green fiber fabrics.
Hu Yongqin is confident about the future of FLYCOOL & SORONA: "Not long ago, state leaders announced in Copenhagen that China aims to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 40% to 45% by 2020 compared to 2005 levels. Additionally, summer indoor air-conditioning temperatures should not be set below 26 degrees Celsius. Energy saving and carbon reduction are no longer just slogans in China—they have become national policies with clear intentions. FLYCOOL fabrics offer clear advantages in this context, so I believe we will definitely seize the market opportunities and play an exemplary role in the low-carbon trend."
Hu also emphasized that each year, the company presents new concepts on public platforms, which not only help lead the industry’s development but also serve as practical ideas tested in the market over the following year or more. At this exhibition, he plans to introduce the concept of "green fiber" on behalf of the company. This new idea replaces the traditional concept of environmentally friendly PET bottle recycling yarn by allowing garments to cool down (thus saving energy), reducing or eliminating petroleum use (environmental protection), and enabling self-decomposition when appropriate.
This advanced textile concept and solution will be developed jointly by mainland China and Taiwan, aiming to establish world-leading standards in energy-saving and eco-friendly textiles. In Hu Yongqin’s view, such initiatives not only meet the global demand for sustainable textiles but also open up new business opportunities in the green textile industry worldwide.
